Position Summary The Clinical Support Assistant provides vital support to the clinical team with a strong focus on clinical phone triage. This position manages patient calls within the clinical queue, documents patient interactions accurately, and ensures timely and appropriate follow-up by the care team. In addition, the role supports basic clinical functions such as rooming patients, obtaining vitals, and assisting with cast removal and exam room preparation to maintain smooth clinic operations. Duties and Responsibilities Manage calls in the clinical queue by triaging patient symptoms, questions, and requests according to established protocols. Document phone triage interactions clearly and accurately in the EMR and route patient cases to the appropriate provider or department. Assist with rooming patients, obtaining vitals, preparing exam rooms, and supporting minor clinical procedures (e.g., cast removal, splint removal). Maintain exam rooms and medical supply inventory, ensuring equipment and materials are organized, stocked, and readily available. Maintain clinic readiness, cleanliness, and compliance with HIPAA and organizational policies. Perform other duties as assigned to support patient care and clinical operations. Education, Experience, Licenses, and Certifications High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Previous healthcare, clinical assistant, or administrative support experience preferred. Orthopaedic or specialty clinic experience a plus.
