As a Clinical Therapist, you will work as part of a collaborative clinical team providing outpatient and intensive outpatient therapy to individuals with complex mental health and substance use needs. SUMMARY Work as part of the clinical team to provide outpatient individual and group therapy both in general outpatient and intensive outpatient programs. Provide clinical assessment including behavioral health diagnosis and referral for medication management when needed. Perform initial screening, intake and assessment, crisis intervention, provide individual, group, mental health and/or substance abuse therapy, referral for treatment not provided by the program, client education, and treatment planning.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
include the following.
CLINICAL
Perform biopsychosocial evaluations/treatments for a panel of clients with mental health and substance use disorders. Assist the clinical team by providing strengths-based, client-centered, and trauma-informed assessments and treatment to clients with mental illness and co-occurring substance use disorders. Provide crisis intervention as needed. Assist with monitoring substance use toxicology screens as needed. Collaborate with other members of the client's clinical team. Advise and inform clients, staff, or other team members to advance the treatment plan. Provide therapy services to clients meeting access standards, daily service targets, and quality goals. Perform other related duties and/or projects as assigned. Perform record keeping in accordance with Health Information Services and other Center requirements. Complete daily service documentation. Provide court reports and other mandated reporting to CT Judicial branch Court Support Service Division Complete initial assessment forms. Complete progress notes with appropriate format. Complete a clear, specific, behaviorally oriented treatment plan with client. Complete insurance documentation as required. Complete required reports and evaluations. Follow required office procedures in a cooperative manner. Obtain insurance authorization and ensure proper documentation meets quality standards and insurance standards. Communicate with various local agencies and other departments or teams at The Center. Work in cooperation with co-workers and supervisory staff. Attend mandatory in-service trainings and other trainings required for renewal of licensure. -Serve on appropriate Center committees as needed.
QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in social work, counseling or related field and relevant clinical experience.
Behavioral Health Licensure such as:
LCSW/LMHC/LPC
is highly preferred. LADC in addition to another licensure is not required but is a big plus. Experience providing mental health and substance abuse treatment both group and individual therapy preferred. Experienced in providing Cognitive Behavioral Treatment, Dialectical Behavioral Treatment, Seeking Safety Treatment, and working with criminal justice population preferred. Experience working with the justice involved population is not required but is a big plus. Bi-lingual is also a big plus but not required. The schedule can be either four (Monday-Thursday)10-hour shifts 9am-7pm, or Monday-Friday (Mondays & Fridays 8am-4pm and Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday's 11am-7pm) Pay rate is based on experience and licensure. #INDCT1 Job Details Pay Type Salary Education Level Master's Degree Travel Required No Hiring Min Rate 72,000 USD Hiring Max Rate 80,000 USD Scan this QR code and apply!
