Job Description

Join a Growing Faith-Based Organization Serving Children, Youth, and Families Across Foster Care, Adoption, Comprehensive Family Support Services and Behavioral Health Programs. Position Overview Pathway Family Services is a faith-based, family service agency providing foster care, adoption, enhanced care management, and now, behavioral health services community-wide to youth and families. We are seeking compassionate mental health professionals to provide trauma-informed, developmentally appropriate mental health services to children, youth, non-minor dependents (NMDs), and families in our care. Qualifications Required Interested candidates must have a Master's Degree and eligibility for or possession of California registration or licensure in one of the following fields: Social Work (ACSW/LCSW) Marriage and Family Therapy (AMFT/LMFT) Counseling (APCC/LPCC) Psychology (Licensed Psychologist) Experience providing mental health services to children, adolescents, and families Knowledge of trauma-informed care and child welfare systems Strong documentation and time management skills Must obtain and maintain DOJ, FBI, and CACI clearances Reliable transportation and valid vehicle insurance.
Summary of Duties and Responsibilities Clinical Service Delivery:
Provide evidence-based, trauma-informed mental health services including individual therapy, family therapy, and group therapy Conduct comprehensive biopsychosocial assessments and develop individualized treatment plans Utilize attachment-centered and trauma-responsive approaches, including TBRI
  • informed principles Provide crisis intervention, safety planning, and mandated reporting as needed
Documentation & Compliance:
Complete all progress notes within 24 hours of each clinical session Maintain accurate documentation in compliance with Medi-Cal, DHCS, and county behavioral health standards
Collaboration & Coordination:
Work closely with Enhanced Care Management (ECM) teams, care coordinators, and in-home coaching providers Collaborate with Child Welfare Services, schools, probation, and other community partners Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and multidisciplinary reviews
Professional Development:
Complete TBRI® Caregiver Package Training within first year of hire. Participate in required trainings, supervision, and professional development activities Work Settings Services provided across multiple settings including clinic-based, home-based, school-based, community-based, and telehealth (as permitted). This is an in-person role and not a remote position.
