Job Description

PBMHR has an opening for a Clinician to provide services at our residential crisis center. This position would work with adults with a serious mental illness diagnosis. This position would work 5 days a week, including weekends. Previous experience in a residential setting and/or with SMI diagnoses preferred. For 50 years, Pine Belt Mental Healthcare Resources has served individuals throughout the Pine Belt. Through an extensive continuum of care, we strive to enable adults with serious mental illnesses, children with serious emotional disturbances, and individuals with an addiction or developmental disability to live, work, learn, and participate fully in their communities. Our eighteen-county service area includes
Amite, Covington, Forrest, Franklin, Greene, Hancock, Harrison, Jeff Davis, Jones, Lamar, Lawrence, Marion, Pear River, Perry, Pike, Stone, Walthall and Wayne Requirements:
Education/License:
Master's degree in behavioral health field required Clinical license preferred Must be able to obtain Clinical license or DMH Therapist certification within 90 days of hire Must have valid driver's license with satisfactory driving record
Work Experience/Skills:
Behavioral health experience preferred Excellent communication skills required Behavioral health internship required Independent work ability Excellent communication skills required
Responsibilities:
Asks appropriate questions as required by the clinical intake documentation, to elicit information. Assists consumer in establishing realistic therapeutic goals appropriate to the problems presented. Participates in team staffings and functions as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team. Provides clinical therapy services and emergency services to consumers and their families. Provides written record of consumer's progress through the therapeutic process. Uses information obtained in clinical observations to suggest diagnosis and severity of condition.
