  • Full-time, PRN Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) to join our healthcare team in providing exceptional patient care across various settings.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to supporting individuals' health and well-being, with experience in diverse clinical environments. As a full-time CNA, you will play a vital role in assisting patients with daily activities, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring a safe and comfortable environment while adhering to all safety and privacy regulations. Duties Provide direct patient care by assisting with activities of daily living such as bathing, dressing, feeding, and mobility support. Monitor and record vital signs including blood pressure, pulse, temperature, and respiration rates accurately using EMR (Electronic Medical Records) or EHR (Electronic Health Records) systems. Support patients with specialized needs such as Alzheimer's care, dementia care, memory care, and behavioral health requirements. Assist with medical procedures including catheter care, phlebotomy, medication administration under supervision, and aseptic techniques. Operate patient lifts such as Hoyer lifts to ensure safe transfers and mobility assistance for individuals with disabilities or limited strength. Maintain infection control protocols by practicing proper hand hygiene, using PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), and following aseptic techniques in all patient interactions. Document patient information meticulously in medical records, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in acute care settings such as ICU, Level I Trauma Centers, PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), or surgical units to deliver comprehensive patient support. Assist in post-acute care or outpatient clinics by supporting patient assessments and ensuring comfort during treatment procedures. Skills Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems such as Epic, Cerner, eClinicalWorks to document patient data efficiently. Experience working in diverse healthcare environments including hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, hospice care, or home & community care settings. Critical care experience including ICU or Level II trauma center experience is highly desirable. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and vital signs measurement techniques. Familiarity with infection control practices and aseptic techniques essential for safe patient handling. Ability to work effectively with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral health needs. Strong communication skills for clear documentation and team collaboration within fast-paced clinical environments. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; additional certifications such as Phlebotomy or Dementia Care are advantageous. Experience supporting pediatric patients or working within outpatient clinics is preferred.
