As a Caregiver, you will play a vital role in promoting independence, safety, and well-being through attentive and respectful support tailored to each individual's needs. This position offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of residents, patients, and community members while working in a dynamic and rewarding environment. Duties Assist residents or clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility support. Monitor patient health by observing vital signs such as blood pressure, pulse, and respiration; report any irregularities promptly. Provide medication reminders and assist with medication administration following HIPAA guidelines to ensure safety and compliance. Support patients with Alzheimer's disease, dementia, or memory care needs by implementing specialized care plans and engaging them in appropriate activities. Prepare nutritious meals and assist with cooking while adhering to dietary restrictions and nutritional guidelines. Maintain cleanliness of living or care environments through regular cleaning tasks to promote hygiene and safety. Use patient monitoring techniques to observe changes in condition or behavior, documenting findings accurately for healthcare teams. Operate equipment such as Hoyer lifts or other assistive devices safely when transferring residents with mobility challenges. Collaborate with healthcare professionals, social workers, and family members to develop and implement personalized care plans. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols including CPR and first aid procedures; participate in ongoing training as required. Provide emotional support and companionship to foster a caring environment that respects individual dignity. Assist with hospice or end-of-life care when necessary, ensuring comfort and compassion at all times. Engage in group home activities or community outings that promote social interaction and mental stimulation for residents. Experience Candidates should have prior experience working in home health care, assisted living facilities, nursing homes, or group homes. Experience with patient observation, medication reminders, dementia or Alzheimer's care, memory care strategies, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism is highly valued. Familiarity with long-term care practices, hospice services, HIPAA compliance, and social work principles enhances suitability for this role. Additional skills such as CPR certification, first aid training, vital signs monitoring, and proficiency in using patient transfer equipment are preferred. Candidates must demonstrate excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to caregiving—ready to provide direct support that enhances quality of life for those in their care. Requirements:
Must currently be a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) Must be willing to travel up to 30 minutes for a case. Must be dependable and available to work.
