Work You'll Do:

Set-up and operate a variety of machinery (Lathe, Mill, Saw, Core Drill, Hob) to blueprint specifications. Responsible for the set-up and operation on a variety of machinery to produce a large assortment of parts or finishes often of a complex nature. Must apply knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics and machining procedures. Monitor machine performance and perform preventative maintenance to assure continuity of production. Must use job specific hand tools. Read part drawing with sectional views. Lift, position and transport work piece with a hoist. Demonstrate flexibility when confronted with high stress or emergency situations, priority changes, or new assignments. Recommend improvements for area product and processes.

Team:

A team of approximately 20 Machinists working during all 3 shifts.

Basic Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED is required. 1 to 3 years of related experience or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Basic math skills required, advanced preferred; general computer skills; knowledge and understanding of various measuring devices.
