CNC Citizen Swiss Machinist

Our client in Euclid, OH, designs and manufactures engineered products that satisfy the rigorous requirements of the aerospace industry. They are in need of a CNC Citizen Swiss Machinist to join their successful operation.

2nd Shift Pay is dependent upon experience There is a generous shift diff for 2nd Shift!

Responsibilities:

Set up and operate CNC Swiss machines Read and interpret blueprints and related technical data to determine tooling requirements, setup procedures and machining methods and sequences. First Article Inspection and inspection of parts during production to maintain quality throughout the production run Must have the ability to maintain close tolerances (within .001) tolerance Knowledge to review and interpret "G" and "M" Code Prepares and pre-sets all tools needed for machining operations Must have an understanding of machine tool accuracies, fixture offsets, and tool offsets Knowledge of cutting tool feeds, speeds and tool life Work closely with ME/CNC Programmers on new job prove-out, troubleshooting and improving processes Work with ME department to optimize processes and identify insourcing and reprocessing opportunities Self-starter and self-motivated person, ability to work with minimal supervision Ability to work overtime regularly Ability to work well in team environment Supports team and organizational initiatives as needed

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalency. 3 years of experience setting up and operating Swiss Lathe or equivalent machine Experience with Mitsubishi controls and Citizen Machines Ability to use Comparator, micrometers, air gages, calipers, profilometer, etc. Strong knowledge of GD&T Ability to setup machines including editing speeds, feeds, tool and fixture offsets Experience in programming CNC machines is a plus #IND101
