Temp Set up and operate computer-controlled machines or machine functions on polyurethane foam, polystyrene foam, and aramid honeycomb materials. Loads profiles into machine software using windows file explorer. Calculate machine speed and feed ratios, size and position of cuts. Load, lineup and adjust material onto machine table. Transport materials to and from saw area as needed. Make sure that the machine is cutting the material properly by observation. Modify feed rate and blade speed for quality purposes. • Able to train employees on proper company policies and procedures to ensure that all manufacturing objectives are being met. • Program the saws. Using our software, create profiles for cutting pieces out of materials. Create fixtures for holding pieces to make certain cuts such as radius and angle cuts. Be able to decipher dimensions on drawings and input this information into a 2-dimensional profile. Able to create multiple profiles for different cuts on the same piece. Able to calculate quantities and create profiles to nest these pieces within the material. Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide. Must have good computer skills, able to maintain and organize file structure. Must have basic mechanical skills and able to use basic hand tools for machine maintenance and adjustment. Must help, direct and assist other saw operators. • Able to use measuring tools to measure materials and make sure they are the size needed to make the product. Measure dimensions of finished work pieces to ensure conformance to specification, using measuring tape, or square table and comparing them to drawings. Perform in depth quality checks • Able to use pallet Jack and hand truck.
