Requirements & Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required; additional education is a plus Minimum of 5+ years of CNC machinist experience Experience operating HAAS 3-axis and 5-axis mills and production lathes Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings Strong understanding of feeds, speeds, and tooling selection Proficiency in part inspection using standard measurement tools Strong shop math skills and mechanical aptitude U.S. citizenship with ability to obtain a security clearance Must haves: Set up and run
HAAS CNC
mills (3-axis and 5-axis) and production lathes to produce precision components Manufacture and modify custom fixtures to support new product development Prove out new CNC programs and troubleshoot machining issues during initial runs Inspect finished parts against engineering drawings to ensure strict compliance Adjust machining processes in real-time based on material behavior and tolerance requirements Maintain detailed production records and ensure traceability of work Adapt quickly to shifting production priorities and support cross-functional shop needs Maintain a clean, organized, and safety-focused work environment
Preferred Background & Skills:
Experience with Swiss CNC screw machines Background in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing environments Strong attention to detail and quality-driven mindset Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity Ability to work collaboratively within a team and support broader production goals Experience working in fast-paced, high-mix/low-volume production settings
