Position Function:

The?accountant?supports the Assistant Controller in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department with ownership of Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Commissions, and Reconciling.

Requirements:

Primary Roles and Responsibilities Include:

Work with the Assistant Controller to?establish?credit limits for new customers. Prepare reports as?required?for the Assistant Controller. Maintain accounting controls by following policies and procedures,?complying with?federal, state, and local financial legal requirements. Other duties as assigned. Record transactions as they relate to Accounts Receivable.? Print customer invoices to remit to the customer in the manner required by the customer.? Identify?payment issues and work with customers to resolve problems and collect?payment.? Maintain customer account receivable files.? Record transactions as they relate to Accounts Payable.? Process customer invoices, matching invoices to?receivers?and obtaining management approval where?required.? Resole vendor invoice discrepancies.? Prepare the weekly accounts payable check?run?for signature.? Record miscellaneous cash transactions in the financial system.? Process monthly commissions for sales reps? Reconcile all credit cards monthly.?

Personal Qualifications:
