Job Title:
CNC Machinist Job Description This role focuses on operating and setting up Fanuc-controlled CNC lathes and milling centers to produce precision components in a clean, organized manufacturing environment. You will load materials, monitor machine operations, perform basic setups and tool changes under supervision, and ensure that all parts meet quality standards through accurate measurement and inspection. Responsibilities Operate CNC lathes and milling centers with Fanuc controls to produce precision parts according to specifications. Set up CNC turning and milling centers, including basic machine setups and tool changes under supervision. Load raw materials into machines and monitor machine operations throughout the production run. Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, and other measuring tools to verify dimensional accuracy and quality. Read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings to determine machining requirements. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in accordance with company policies and safety procedures. Report any machine malfunctions, tooling issues, or quality concerns promptly to the supervisor. Participate in on-the-job training to develop machining skills and support continuous improvement initiatives. Use manufacturing software or ERP systems, as required, to track work orders or production data. Assist with basic troubleshooting of Fanuc-controlled machines and related equipment as needed. Handle materials safely, including moving parts or stock with forklifts or other material handling equipment if certified. Essential Skills Experience operating CNC lathes and CNC milling centers. Ability to set up and operate Fanuc-controlled CNC turning and milling centers under supervision. Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, work orders, and technical drawings. Ability to inspect parts accurately using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring tools. Basic troubleshooting skills for Fanuc control systems and CNC equipment. Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality parts. Ability to follow safety procedures and maintain a clean and organized work area. Additional Skills & Qualifications Familiarity with manufacturing software or ERP systems. Forklift certification or prior material handling experience. Willingness to participate in on-the-job training and continuous improvement activities. Ability to work overtime when needed to support production demands. Why Work Here? Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of De Pere, WI. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
