Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled and experienced CNC Machinist to join our team. This role is responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC equipment to produce high-quality component parts to specification. The ideal candidate has strong experience with both CNC vertical mills and CNC lathes, along with demonstrated proficiency in programming both. Key Responsibilities
  • Program, set up and operate CNC vertical mills and lathes to manufacture parts of varying quantities
  • Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and job specifications
  • Perform first-piece inspections and make necessary adjustments to ensure quality standards
  • Troubleshoot machining issues and optimize processes
  • Maintain tooling, fixtures, and equipment in good working condition
  • Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment Qualifications
  • 5+ years of CNC setup, programming, and operating mills & lathes
  • Strong knowledge of proper tool selection & cutting practices to produce precision component parts efficiently and accurately
  • Proficiency with Surfcam software a plus as well as G & M code programming
  • Strong understanding of machining complex parts with multiple setups
  • Proficiency cutting various tool steels & alloys in annealed or heat treated states
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
  • Experience with precision measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with tight-tolerance component work
  • Knowledge of G-code programming
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing practices Compensation & Benefits
