GENERAL MAINTENANCE AND REPAIR WORKER

The employer has a recurring need for temporary workers to perform general maintenance and general labor duties on an intermittent basis. This need is not permanent or year-round but arises periodically due to fluctuations in workload, seasonal demands, and short-term project requirements.

Throughout the year, the employer experiences increases in maintenance and operational demands that cannot be met by the existing permanent workforce. These periods are unpredictable in timing and duration but are driven by factors such as increased business activity, weather-related impacts, facility upkeep cycles, and special projects requiring additional labor support.

The job duties for these positions include, but are not limited to:

• Performing routine maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment
• Assisting with general labor tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and site preparation
• Supporting skilled workers and supervisors in completing maintenance projects
• Handling basic tools and equipment safely and efficiently
• Maintaining a clean and safe work environmentBecause these workload increases are temporary and intermittent, the employer cannot justify hiring permanent full-time employees for these roles.

Instead, temporary workers are needed during peak periods to supplement the regular workforce and ensure timely completion of necessary tasks.

The employer attests that this temporary need is truly intermittent, as it does not follow a consistent, predictable schedule and does not represent a continuous demand for labor. The employment of H-2B workers will be limited to the periods when the additional workload exists, after which the need for these positions subsides.

Accordingly, the employer seeks to employ H-2B temporary nonimmigrant workers to fill these general maintenance and general labor roles only during periods of demonstrated intermittent need.
