In this role, you will operate and program CNC machines, including lathes and milling machines, to produce precision parts that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will be essential to ensure efficient production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to innovative manufacturing projects while honing your technical skills in a fast-paced environment committed to excellence. Responsibilities Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machining equipment such as CNC lathes and milling machines using Fanuc controls or similar systems. Develop and modify CNC programs utilizing CAM software and CNC programming techniques to optimize machining processes. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications to ensure accurate part production. Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions. Maintain high standards of safety by properly handling tooling, hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and operating forklifts when necessary. Conduct regular inspections of machined components for quality assurance using precision measuring instruments and visual checks. Support continuous improvement initiatives such as lean manufacturing practices and efficient tooling management to reduce waste and increase productivity. Skills Trade Certification required 5-10 years of experience. Proficiency in CNC programming for both lathe and milling operations with experience in Fanuc controls or equivalent systems. Strong understanding of blueprint reading, GD&T principles, and mechanical drawings. Experience with CAD software like GibbsCAM or similar programs for part design review. Ability to use basic math skills for measurements, calculations, and troubleshooting machining issues. Familiarity with manufacturing environments, including the use of tooling, calipers, micrometers, bore gauges. Capable of operating hand tools, power tools, forklifts, and other equipment safely and efficiently. Understanding of lean manufacturing principles to promote efficient workflows and waste reduction. Mechanical aptitude combined with strong attention to detail to produce high-quality components consistently.
