Job Description

CNC Machinist (Lathe or Mill Turn) Job Description We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to perform short-run large part machining, with 2-3 setups per day. The role requires a strong understanding of GD&T measurement units and the ability to measure and record dimensions according to sketches and ICL requirements. The machinist will utilize various inspection tools, including height gages, bore gages, radius gages, dial calipers, flapper gages, and scales. Responsibilities Perform short-run large part machining with 2-3 setups per day. Understand and apply GD&T measurement units. Measure and record dimensions per sketches and ICL requirements. Use inspection tools such as height gages, bore gages, and dial calipers. Set up and operate CNC lathe machines. Essential Skills Experience with 2-axis CNC Lathe and setup. Familiarity with Moreseiki machines and Siemens controls. Ability to work with round rotating parts. Experience working with materials such as titanium, Inconel, stainless steel, and steel alloy. Proficiency in using larger scale measurement devices for quality inspection. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with tailstock or steady rest CNC components. Ability to turn threads and measure suspended threads. Understanding of ITAR regulations. Why Work Here? This position offers a contract-to-hire opportunity, allowing for long-term career growth. Work Environment The position will start with training on the 1st shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, transitioning to the 3rd shift from 9:00 PM to 5:30 AM. The work involves low volume, high mix production, dealing with 6-piece lot sizes. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Cerritos, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
