CNC Machinist

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Machinist to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining various machining equipment to produce precision parts and components. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive the quality and efficiency of our production processes. Duties Operate CNC lathes, milling machines, and other machining equipment such as CNC mills and CNC turning centers, ensuring precise execution of complex parts. Program CNC machines using CAD/CAM software, to optimize machining processes. Read and interpret detailed blueprints, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) specifications, and technical drawings to produce accurate components. Set up tooling, fixtures, and calibration instruments like calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) to ensure precision measurements. Perform routine maintenance on machines and troubleshoot issues related to electrical discharge machining (EDM), tooling wear, or mechanical faults. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment as needed for assembly or minor repairs. Follow lean manufacturing principles to improve workflow efficiency and reduce waste while maintaining high safety standards. Requirements Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines and CNC lathes with familiarity in Fanuc or similar control systems. Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAD (Computer-Aided Design), CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing), and blueprint reading skills. Mechanical aptitude with understanding of plastics injection molding processes and manufacturing techniques. Proficiency with precision measuring instruments including calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Basic math skills for calculating dimensions, tolerances, and machine offsets. Knowledge of lean manufacturing practices to promote continuous improvement in production workflows.
