Job Description

We need an experienced CNC mill and lathe Machinists for all of our shifts. 1st shift is from Monday through Thursday 6:00 AM to 4:30 PM (4/10's). Our 2nd shift which is Monday through Thursday 4:20 PM to 2:50 AM (4/10/s). Overtime is generally available on Friday's. We are also looking for weekend shift which is Friday through Sunday 5:00 AM to 5:00 PM -- you work 36 hours per week and get paid for 40 hours.
Job Summary:
Oversee and maintain all CNC Mills production and planning.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Documenting all jobs, set-up sheets, and communicate redline planning. Ensure appropriate tools and tooling is ready ahead of job schedule. Supervise set-ups to ensure times are met. Solve problems at the machine to maintain production. Monitor and correct cycle times to meet work order requirements. Delegate labor resources. Train new hires and current employees. Communicate issues with Manufacturing Manager and tie in with other shifts. Develop lean methods and standardization to reduce costs and waste. Monitor and promote quality, on time. Responsible for Vista, work order accuracy. Monitor and uphold deburr quality.
Minimum Qualifications:
Requires a high school diploma/GED or graduation from certified technical school, or proven work history in a production environment. Associates Degree preferred.
Experience:
Five years of experience in machining, programming and problem solving of Mills and/or Lathes. Supervisory and strong communication skills Basic math and computer skills required The work environment characteristics description described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The work environment of this position is generally performed in an indoor environment in a well lit and ventilated area. This position is required to work around high-speed machinery and equipment and requires the use of safety glasses. There is exposure to machine oil, metal filings, unpleasant odors and noise. Job functions on and around mechanized equipment will present the need for alertness, accuracy and safety awareness. Safety training is required and provided by the company in accordance with applicable law, industry standards and company policy. Specific notice is posted in areas where safety equipment is required for accident prevention.
Physical Demands:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Candidates must be able to read, write, and communicate fluently in English. Candidates must stand for much of the workday. Work activities involve combinations of walking, climbing, pushing, pulling, bending, lifting and carrying and standing for extended periods and performing some very repetitive activities. Work requires the ability to see, hear and smell in order to detect problems. The work requires the ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
