Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CNC Machinist (Tsugami Swiss Turn) to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will operate, set up, and program CNC machines—including CNC lathes and milling machines—to produce precision components that meet strict quality standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and excellence in our production processes. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced manufacturing equipment, including Fanuc controls, contributing to innovative projects across various industries. Responsibilities Operate CNC machinery, including lathes and milling machines, ensuring optimal performance and safety compliance Set up machines by installing tooling, fixtures, and programming using software. Write, modify, and troubleshoot CNC programs utilizing G-code, M-code, and other programming languages Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and specifications to produce precise parts Conduct precision measurements using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, coordinate measuring machines (CMM), and other precision instruments Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment and troubleshoot issues promptly to minimize downtime Assist with tooling selection, setup adjustments, and calibration to ensure high-quality output Support lean manufacturing initiatives by optimizing machining processes and reducing waste through continuous improvement practices Collaborate with assembly teams to ensure parts meet quality standards before final inspection or assembly Qualifications Proven experience operating CNC lathes and milling machines with Fanuc or similar controls
Specifically:
Tsugami Swiss Turn Strong knowledge of CNC programming, CAM software, CAD design tools like SolidWorks or similar platforms Ability to read complex blueprints and technical drawings accurately; familiarity with GD&T principles is essential Mechanical aptitude combined with basic math skills for precise measurements and calculations Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM) Familiarity with tooling setup, hand tools, power tools, welding techniques, and assembly processes Knowledge of manufacturing environments. Ability to operate forklifts safely; certification preferred but not required Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving skills; ability to work independently or as part of a team Join us in creating high-quality components through innovative machining techniques!
