Job Description

CNC Machinist - Weekend Shift More Days Off. Same Full-Time Impact. Want to keep your skills sharp and your income strong—without working five days a week? This weekend CNC Machinist role is built for experienced machinists who like condensed schedules, quieter floors, and getting more life back in their weekdays. Why a Weekend Shift? Fewer weekdays on the clock means more time for family, projects, or side work. Less weekday chaos on the floor—more focus, more ownership, fewer interruptions. Be the one who keeps production moving while others are off; your impact really shows. What You'll Do Set up and run CNC mills, lathes, or multi-axis machines—not just load parts. Read and interpret blueprints, GD&T, and tight tolerances with confidence. Make offsets and basic program edits on controls like Fanuc, Haas, or Mazak. Select tooling, dial in cutting parameters, and perform fixture setup and part changeovers. Handle first article and in-process inspections using micrometers, calipers, bore and height gauges. Support preventative maintenance and help keep machines running reliably. What You Bring 3-10+ years of CNC machining experience. Strong setup and troubleshooting skills in a fast-paced environment. Solid understanding of feeds/speeds, materials (steel, aluminum, stainless), and tooling. Quality mindset, attention to detail, and reliability—especially when you're the one the shop counts on over the weekend. Nice-to-Haves CAD/CAM experience (Mastercam, Fusion 360). Multi-axis (4th/5th), proto@type, or short-run production experience. Proven record of reducing scrap and improving cycle times. If you like the idea of working concentrated weekend shifts while freeing up your weekdays—and being the machinist the shop trusts when most of the building is quiet—this could be your ideal schedule. Interested? Send a quick overview of your CNC experience, machines/controls you've run, and your comfort level with setups and edits.
