Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled CNC Press Brake Operator to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for setting up, programming, and operating CNC press brake machines to accurately bend and shape sheet metal components according to detailed blueprints and specifications. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical aptitude, precision measurement skills, and a thorough understanding of fabrication processes. Your expertise will directly contribute to producing high-quality metal parts efficiently and safely, supporting our commitment to excellence in manufacturing. Duties Set up and operate CNC press brake machines, ensuring precise bending of sheet metal parts in accordance with technical drawings and specifications. Program CNC press brakes using CAD/CAM software or manual input to achieve desired angles and dimensions. Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing) symbols to determine bending requirements. Perform routine maintenance on press brake equipment, including tooling changes and calibration checks. Use precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, and gauges to verify dimensions and ensure quality standards are met. Conduct quality inspections of finished parts through visual assessment and measurement tools; document findings accurately. Assist with fabrication tasks involving welding, machining (including CNC laser cutting, milling machines, lathes), and assembly as needed. Operate hand tools, cranes, forklifts, and other equipment safely within the manufacturing environment. Maintain a clean and organized work area while adhering to safety protocols at all times. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to optimize processes, tooling selection, and production flow. Experience Proven experience operating CNC press brake machines in a manufacturing or fabrication environment. Familiarity with CNC programming languages and software used for bending operations. Knowledge of blueprint reading, GD&T standards, and mechanical drawings. Hands-on experience with other machining processes such as CNC laser cutting, plasma cutting, CNC milling machines, CNC lathe operations, welding, and electrical discharge machining (EDM) is highly desirable. Strong mechanical knowledge related to tooling setup, fabrication techniques, and sheet metal properties. Ability to use precision measuring instruments including micrometers, calipers, and gauges for quality inspection. Basic math skills necessary for calculating dimensions, angles, tolerances, and material requirements. Prior experience working with hand tools, fabrication equipment, cranes or forklifts is advantageous. Understanding of safety procedures within a manufacturing setting is essential.
