Quality Auditor- 1st Shift 3.3 3.3 out of 5 stars 21 Voestalpine Dr NE, White, GA 30184 From $19 an hour - Full-time voestalpine Automotive Components Cartersville Inc. 499 reviews From $19 an hour - Full-time Summary/Objective The Quality Auditor is responsible for the quality level of the parts produced at each production process and for assisting the Quality Engineer in QA/QC issues. The Quality Auditor assures consistent quality of production by enforcing the required quality level for each product as defined by the customer and internal requirements, adhering to the standards of correct documentation and auditing all production documentation and processes, and alerting the Quality Lead and Quality Manager of quality issues. Responsible for the quality level of the parts produced at each production process based on customer and internal requirements. a. Ensuring inspection fixtures are up to standard and in useable condition on a daily basis b. Auditing processes to ensure inspections such as First Off Part inspections are performed correctly c. Auditing Quality tool status and availability such as control cards and measurement devices. 2. Accountable for the correct fulfillment of Quality and Production Documentation. 3. Responsible for the proper handling of production data, and assessments. 4. Support staff in critical Quality situations (e.g. evaluation of quality). 5. Assist in Production-level inspection of production parts as needed. 6. Achieves quality assurance systematic, process, and operational objectives by a. Contributing timely information to staff and management; b. Assisting in the implementation of QA action plans; c. Identifying non-conforming products at each production process; d. Assisting in the Root Cause Analysis of customer complaints and internal rejects; e. Assisting in the identification and resolution of quality issues; f. Assist during audits. 7. Assist in customer and supplier relations. Competencies 1. Must be competent in automotive quality systems. 2. Must be able to make logical data based decisions. 3. Knowledge of customer norms and requirements. 4. Experience handling measuring devices(micrometers, calipers, etc.) 5. Ability to identify and evaluate non-conformances in processes and products. 6. Skilled at methodical problem solving. 7. German language skills are an asset. 8. Spanish language skills are an asset 9. Analytical Skills and attention to detail. Supervisory Responsibility No direct Supervisory responsibility. During sorting and team activities it is expected of the Quality Auditor to lead and supervise all activities and play a leading role. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full time position. This role operates on a shift schedule. Shifts are scheduled on three levels, 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Based on shift schedule, this position will work at least 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday. As production demands it, this role will be required to work overtime hours including weekend. Travel Occasional local travel, inside the state of GA. Seldom domestic travel required. Required Education and Experience High school diploma/GED Microsoft Office intermediate skills Basic Computer skills Preferred Education and Experience Technical Certification GD & T knowledge 1 year Automotive experience Additional Eligibility Qualifications 1.
