Job Description
Overview We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our manufacturing team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC programming and machining processes, with the ability to work with precision measuring instruments and various machining tools. This role requires attention to detail, mechanical knowledge, and the capability to interpret blueprints and technical drawings. The CNC Machinist will be responsible for producing high-quality components while adhering to safety standards and lean manufacturing principles. Responsibilities Set up and operate CNC milling machines and lathes to produce precision parts according to specifications. Program CNC machines using Fanuc controls, ensuring optimal performance and efficiency. Read and interpret blueprints, CAD drawings, and GD&T specifications to understand project requirements. Utilize CAM programming software for tool path generation and optimization. Conduct quality inspections using calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and coordinate measuring machines (CMM). Perform routine maintenance on CNC equipment to ensure operational efficiency. Collaborate with team members in assembly processes as needed. Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to lean manufacturing practices. Qualifications Proven experience as a CNC Machinist with expertise in CNC programming and machining operations. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot equipment issues effectively. Familiarity with electrical discharge machining (EDM) processes is a plus. Proficient in SolidWorks, CAD software, and blueprint reading. Basic math skills for accurate measurements and calculations. Experience with precision measuring instruments such as calipers, micrometers, bore gauges, and CMMs. Knowledge of tooling, hand tools, power tools, and welding techniques is advantageous. Ability to operate forklifts safely within the manufacturing environment. Understanding of plastics injection molding processes is beneficial but not required.
