In this role, you will leverage your technical expertise to set up and operate high-precision Swiss-type lathes, directly impacting our ability to deliver complex, tight-tolerance components to our global client base. Responsibilities Interpret complex blueprints and GD&T specifications to plan efficient machining processes. Execute rapid setups and operation of Swiss-style CNC lathes to produce high-quality parts. Optimize production by adjusting tooling, monitoring machining parameters, and performing real-time troubleshooting. Ensure part integrity through rigorous first-article inspections and continuous quality monitoring. Maintain peak equipment performance by conducting routine preventive maintenance and addressing mechanical malfunctions. Document production activities and quality metrics to ensure compliance with internal standards and operational logs. Uphold a culture of safety by strictly adhering to all facility protocols and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Required Skills Proven experience setting up and operating Swiss-type CNC lathes, specifically Star machinery. Proficiency in G-Code programming and editing. Strong understanding of geometric dimensions and tolerances (GD&T). Ability to perform complex tooling adjustments and troubleshooting. Demonstrated commitment to safety and quality assurance procedures. Preferred Skills Experience working within an AS9100 quality management environment. Background in precision power transmission or similar high-tolerance industries. Strong conceptual and analytical skills for process improvement.
