Sponsored by a prominent community organization, the center has been serving families since 1991 and is committed to fostering developmentally appropriate learning experiences for children from infancy through early elementary grades. Job Summary We are seeking an energetic and dedicated Co Teacher to join our Older Infant Program. In this vital role, you will collaborate with lead teachers to create a nurturing, engaging, and educational environment for infants aged 12 to 24 months. Your enthusiasm and expertise will support children's growth across developmental domains, including social-emotional, cognitive, physical, and language skills. Duties Implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that is tailored to infants' individual needs and interests Support classroom management by maintaining a safe, clean, and organized environment conducive to exploration and learning Engage with children through play, communication, and physical activities that promote literacy, motor skills, and socialization Collaborate with lead teachers to observe and document children's progress for ongoing assessment and planning Support behavior management strategies that foster positive interactions and emotional security among children Communicate effectively with families about their child's daily experiences and developmental milestones Participate in ongoing professional development related to early intervention, special education, and childhood development best practices Requirements Prior experience working with infants or toddlers in a classroom or daycare setting is a must Knowledge of early childhood education principles, including curriculum development, lesson planning, and assessments Associate in Early Childhood or Infant/Toddler Credential completed Understanding of child welfare standards and safety protocols in childcare environments Strong communication skills for collaborating with colleagues and engaging with families Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced setting Certification or training in first aid/CPR/AED preferred but not required; willingness to obtain upon hire Join us at Woods Hollow Children's Center where your passion for working with young children can flourish!
