Job Description Position Summary:
Level Two :
Building upon level one, level two shipping/receiving associates work with minimal supervision to complete all shipping and receiving tasks. Level two associates will demonstrate an intermediate ability to aid in developing new packaging processes and procedures and determine work priority based on the shipping schedule to prepare loads for pickup. Typically, 1-2 years of experience.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Obtain job assignments from lead, supervisor or manager. Work safely in accordance to plant safety guidelines including cardinal rules of safety. Adheres to quality processes including in-process visual inspection to ensure compliance with quality specifications. Correctly interpret work instructions Work in a team environment, i.e. follow instructions and assist others as needed. Intermediate system transactions in QMS Creating shipping documentation (BOL, POD etc.) Part marking qualification required Packaging and shipping of test material Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and orderly condition. Perform daily housekeeping / 6S activities as required. Help teach and train new employees on the requirements of the position, including safety. Perform other duties as requested by lead, supervisor or manager.Required Skills:
Intermediate knowledge of shipping processes & equipment Intermediate computer skills (Microsoft suite) Experience & Education 1 to 2 year of manufacturing experience; prior military experience; or technical certification / degree required GED or High School diploma required Minimum 6 months prior experience operating powered industrial equipmentWorking Conditions:
Constant exposure to indoor / outdoor manufacturing environment Constant exposure to moderate noise Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes, odors, hot / cold temperatures, inside / outside noise vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces. Must be able to work any shift including overtime, weekends and holidays if scheduled.Physical Requirements:
Must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to thirty-five (35) pounds on a repetitive basis. Must be able to stand, walk, bend, squat, climb, kneel, twist and work at heights on an intermittent basis for up to twelve (12) hours. Requires hand manipulation including simple grasping, pushing and pulling of materials. Must be able to safety operate an overhead crane. Must be able to reach and work above and below the shoulder level. Must be able to work with and around forklifts and hazardous machinery. Must be able to operate a forklift Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment. Visual acuity skill to detect any flaws in the parts being inspected.
