Hourly Summary:
Installs pre-sewn skins over foamed plastic and/or fiberglass substrates creating finished interior components to be installed in Cobalt boats (i.e., cushions, side panels, bow wraps, passenger lounge backrests, and motor boxes). Essential Duties and Responsibilities Read and interpret schedule for daily production requirements. Inspect and trim pre-sewn skins. Stretch sewn skin to fit geometric of part; staple and/or glue vinyl and carpet to part meeting quality standards set by Cobalt. Use of heat gun, staple gun, Glue gun, driver, and drill Perform standard housekeeping duties throughout the day. Perform in accordance with Cobalt's safety policies and procedures. Follow all policies and procedures for time and attendance as outlined by Cobalt. Meet production takt times as outlined by production requirements. Other duties may be assigned as required Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Must be very detail oriented; knowledgeable of boat interiors to identify specified components. Must have general knowledge of operating power tools and hand tools safely. Must be able to operate industrial heat gun/steamer in a safe manner. Must be able to read and execute build instruction from work orders. Education and/or Experience High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Mathematical Skills Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
