Hourly Summary Assembly of component parts used in assembly of boats such as tanks, fuel tanks, generators, stereo and electrical components, and major sub-assemblies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Apply high energy, self-motivation, and initiative to learn and be trained on various types of equipment and processes. Ability to use safely and effectively high-speed pneumatic and battery powered power tools (drills, drivers etc.), hand tools etc. Must be able to read drawings and specifications Complete required documentation of finished parts for production purposes Daily job duties will be varied and dynamic. Tasks will include building major sub-assemblies, to include but not limited to, hardtops, swim platforms, gallies, motor boxes, helm chairs, side panels, teak, dashes. Workload will be tracked via daily schedules and assignments requiring responsibility and accountability for quality and timeliness of completion. Ability to perform job functions safely and effectively in a fast-paced, noisy environment while wearing all required PPE (including eye, hearing, etc.). Operate large equipment safely and responsibly such as overhead hoists and forklifts Practice good housekeeping. Other duties as assigned Qualifications To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Prior woodworking, construction, and/or mechanic experience preferred. Language Skills Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization. Mathematical Skills Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio, and percent and to draw and interpret bar graphs. Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations. Other Qualifications Include Certificates, Licenses, Registrations and other skills/abilities/qualifications not listed above. Physical Demands Regularly required to work at, lifting parts and pieces up to 50 lbs, traveling up and down stairs on a constant basis, sitting, squatting and bending in various awkward positions for certain lengths of time- including working overhead, traveling in and out of work areas, walking and being on your feet for a majority of the work day.
