This role offers a chance to develop mentorship and relationship-building skills while guiding participants through meaningful learning experiences that promote personal growth and community connection.
Responsibilities:
Facilitate and support weekly program sessions for families Lead and assist with activities incorporating literacy, storytelling, and creative arts Foster a safe, inclusive, and structured environment for all participants Build and maintain positive relationships with youth and their families Provide informal coaching and support aligned with social-emotional development Other duties as assigned Qualification s: Minimum Qualifications High School Diploma or GED required 1-3 years of experience in community work, education, social services, or a related field Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Preferred Qualifications Certified Peer Specialist (CPS) certification Background in art, education, wellness, or community programming Experience working with underserved or diverse populations Group facilitation or workshop experience
