DPP is seeking a COBOL Developer IV for an opportunity in Columbia, SC. Work location: Fully onsite in Columbia, SC

W2 position Work authorization: Candidates must be eligible to earn a low-level (Public Trust) US security clearance. Position summary: You will be part of the EDIG (Electronic Data Interchange Gateway) team, working on the host side alongside a small, collaborative group of developers. In this role, you'll help support and enhance systems that manage healthcare claims data, partnering closely with both nonhost development teams and operations. We're looking for someone who is a selfstarter, enjoys problemsolving, and works well as part of a team. You'll collaborate regularly with the team lead, who provides direction, priorities, and work assignments, while still having the independence to take ownership of your tasks. The technical environment is primarily mainframebased, with daily work involving COBOL (Mainframe and Micro Focus), CICS, DB2, IMS, MQ, IBM Batch JCL, Easytrieve, APS Code Generator, vendor pricing software, and MS Office tools. You'll also work with EDz vendor products for APS on the nonhost side. This role includes participation in an oncall rotation, in addition to standard daytoday responsibilities, to ensure continued support of critical EDIG processes.

Strong analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrates logical abstract thinking and assimilating/adhering to project goals and deadlines. Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Able to work well under pressure and as part of a team. Strong knowledge of interpersonal skills/team building. Familiar with project management concepts. Pays attention to detail. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, clients, vendors etc. Strong knowledge of relevant operating systems, programming languages, and development tools and their usage in the company.

Minimum required work experience:

6 years of application development, systems testing or other job related experience.

Required education/equivalencies:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other job-related degree; OR, Associates degree in CS, IT, or other job-related degree plus 2 years of work-related experience; OR, 4 years job-related work experience (total 10 years without a degree) Interested?
