We are seeking a skilled and experienced Combo Pipe Welder to join our team. The Combo Pipe Welder will be responsible for welding various types of metal pipes using a combination of welding processes, such as TIG, MIG, and Stick welding, to join pipes in accordance with specifications and codes. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in welding, the ability to read and interpret blueprints and welding symbols, and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

Key Responsibilities:

Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols to determine welding requirements. Set up and operate welding equipment, including TIG, MIG, and Stick welding machines. Prepare and fit pipes for welding by cutting, grinding, and beveling as necessary. Perform welding on various types of metal pipes, including carbon steel, stainless steel, and other alloys, using appropriate welding techniques and processes. Ensure the quality of welded joints meets company standards, industry codes, and customer specifications. Inspect completed welds to detect defects and ensure conformance with quality standards. Maintain welding equipment in good working condition and perform routine maintenance as needed. Adhere to safety procedures and protocols to ensure a safe work environment. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and according to specifications.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in welding is preferred. Proven experience as a Combo Pipe Welder or similar role in a construction or industrial setting. Proficiency in TIG, MIG, and Stick welding processes. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and welding symbols. Strong knowledge of welding techniques, metallurgy, and welding codes and standards. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Physical strength and stamina to perform welding tasks in various positions and environments. This position is full-time, first shift position on site at our facility in Hamburg. We are currently operating a 4 x 10 schedule Monday-Thursday with ample overtime available.
