In this position, you will operate a variety of trucks, including tractor-trailers, flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, dump trucks, roll-off trucks, and forklift-equipped vehicles. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient delivery of freight across diverse routes while maintaining the highest standards of safety and customer service. Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmissions, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight using appropriate equipment such as forklifts or roll-off trucks, ensuring proper handling of cargo. Drive route-specific vehicles including flatbeds, refrigerated trailers, tankers, and dump trucks to deliver goods efficiently. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle inspections in compliance with regulatory requirements. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and report any maintenance needs promptly. Manage delivery schedules by planning optimal routes for timely pickups and drop-offs across various locations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams regarding delivery statuses, delays, or issues encountered during routes. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Proven experience operating tractor-trailers or similar heavy-duty trucks in a commercial setting. Familiarity with driving manual transmission trucks and handling specialized equipment such as forklifts or dump trucks. Experience in delivering freight via route driving, including refrigerated loads or tanker shipments preferred. Knowledge of load & unload procedures and safety protocols for various truck types. Ability to perform routine vehicle inspections and basic maintenance checks. Prior experience with freight handling, including roll-off truck operations or flatbed deliveries is a plus.
