Responsibilities Safely operate commercial trucks with manual transmission across designated routes, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations. Load and unload freight efficiently using appropriate equipment such as forklifts when necessary. Transport a variety of cargo including flatbed loads, and other specialized freight. Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance with company standards. Manage route driving schedules effectively to meet delivery deadlines while optimizing fuel efficiency. Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, deliveries, and vehicle maintenance records. Communicate proactively with dispatchers regarding route updates, delivery status, or any issues encountered during trips. Qualifications Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record. Experience operating manual transmission trucks preferred. Proven truck driving experience with knowledge of freight handling and load securement techniques. Familiarity with operating flatbeds, or roll-off trucks is a plus. Ability to load & unload freight safely using equipment like forklifts or hand tools. Strong understanding of route driving logistics and delivery procedures. Excellent safety awareness and adherence to federal and state transportation regulations.
