Duties Load and unload cargo using mechanical knowledge and appropriate equipment, ensuring secure placement for transit. Conduct pre-trip inspections on vehicles to verify mechanical condition and safety compliance before each shift. Drive with professionalism and adherence to all traffic laws, maintaining a clean driving record at all times. Assist with heavy lifting tasks when necessary, utilizing proper techniques to prevent injury. Manage delivery schedules by planning optimal routes and ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs. Maintain accurate delivery logs, vehicle maintenance records, and load documentation to support operational transparency. Requirements Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL) with appropriate endorsements for the truck types operated. Proven experience in commercial driving, especially with delivery routes involving heavy lifting and various truck types such as dump trucks or flatbeds. Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues. Experience operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred. Ability to load & unload cargo safely using appropriate equipment and techniques. Familiarity with different truck configurations including front loader, rear loader, roll-off, dump trucks, flatbeds, and tractor-trailers.
