Operation supervisor Full-time Company Description Syngenta Flowers is a leading global breeder and wholesaler producing seeds, cuttings and young plants in the flowering pot- and bedding plants market. Job Description Support processes of the Operations. Responsible for the planning and the execution of the daily and weekly activities. Ensuring labor activates are done timely and in accordance with all processes and procedures, as well as ensuring that all regulatory requirements are met. Leading teams of employees responsible for different activities. Ensuring that all processes all done efficiently and effectively and in accordance with all Syngenta HSES regulations .
Duties:
Maintains workflow by monitoring steps of the process; setting processing variables; observing control points and equipment; monitoring personnel and resources; studying methods; implementing cost reductions; developing reporting procedures and systems; facilitating corrections to breakdowns within process control points; initiating and fostering a spirit of cooperation within and between departments. Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel; accomplishing work results; establishing priorities; monitoring progress; revising schedules; resolving problems; reporting results of the processing flow to Management. Plan and coordinate all daily, weekly and planned labor activities for all of the Operations team (including 3rd party labor requirements). Includes all activities associated with; stock maintenance, product storage, stock discards and order processing (retrieval, packing and order assembly) shipping activities. Manage all quality assurance programs with the operations team. Manage and maintain KPI's. Manage staff to ensure that performance standards are met and that all information is accurate and up to date. Responsible for the reporting of KPI information to senior management, supervisors and leaders. Maintains safe and clean work environment by educating and directing personnel on the use of all HSE standards, equipment, and resources, maintaining compliance with established policies and procedures. Responsible for the management (creation and modification) of W.O.W.s' associated with their area of responsibility. Ensuring that all procedures and processes are accurate and up to date. Qualifications Active knowledge of Horticulture fundamentals; basic crop requirements such as moisture, light, soil conditions and fertility. Spanish fluency and or French (Creole) is desirable. Competent work skills with Microsoft Suite of Office programs (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Access). All applicants must be eligible to work in the US. Approximately 70% working outdoors under various weather conditions and 30% typical office environment. Work in outdoor environment in various weather situations. 5% Travel. Ability to walk in sandy soil. Ability to carry 25 lbs. for up to 15 minutes.
