Commercial HVAC Technician

ZenTech Consulting is seeking an experienced Commercial HVAC Technician for a growing mechanical services company in the Berlin, NJ area. This role is ideal for a skilled technician with strong troubleshooting abilities, hands-on commercial HVAC experience, and a commitment to quality customer service. The Commercial HVAC Technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of commercial heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems across a variety of facilities including office buildings, industrial sites, retail locations, and commercial properties.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain commercial HVAC systems Service rooftop units (RTUs), split systems, chillers, boilers, package units, and ventilation systems Perform preventative maintenance inspections and routine service calls Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and control system issues Replace compressors, motors, belts, bearings, valves, thermostats, and related components Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate findings to customers and management Participate in on-call rotation as needed

Qualifications:

3+ years of commercial HVAC service experience preferred EPA Certification required Strong knowledge of commercial HVAC systems and controls Ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems independently Experience with preventative maintenance programs Valid driver's license with clean driving record Strong customer service and communication skills Ability to work independently in the field

Preferred Experience:

Experience with chillers, boilers, and BAS/BMS controls OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification HVAC trade school or technical certification Refrigeration experience is a plus
