Your primary duty is to clean and maintain kitchen exhaust systems, including hoods, ductwork, and exhaust fans. We remove grease buildup from surfaces to ensure proper ventilation and fire safety.

Tools and Techniques :

We use tools such as scrapers, pressure washers, and degreasers. We power wash interior components like hoods, ducts, and filters.

Safety and Compliance :

Ensuring compliance with safety regulations is crucial. Regular cleaning prevents fire hazards and maintains air quality in commercial kitchens.

Work Environment :

Kitchen exhaust cleaners work in restaurants, cafeterias, and other food service establishments. We work during off-hours (e.g., late evenings or early mornings) to avoid disrupting kitchen operations.

Physical Demands :

The job involves climbing ladders, reaching high areas, and handling heavy equipment. You MUST be able to lift 60 lbs. You MUST be familiar with ladders It can be physically demanding due to grease removal and equipment setup.

Training and Experience :

We will provide on-the-job training. Attention to detail and a strong work ethic are essential. You MUST have common sense. Summary As a Commercial Kitchen Exhaust Hood Cleaner, you will play a vital role in maintaining safe, compliant kitchen ventilation systems. You will report to the operations supervisor and ensure ductwork and exhaust hoods are clean, free of obstructions, and meet safety regulations. Your responsibilities include performing thorough duct cleaning, inspecting for integrity, and documenting work to support occupational safety regulation compliance. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety will help prevent fire hazards and promote a healthy, compliant kitchen environment.
