Join a dynamic team as a Commercial Maintenance Technician responsible for providing top-tier maintenance services across multiple commercial properties in Washington, DC. You will be crucial in delivering preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting building systems, and ensuring facilities operate smoothly and efficiently. This role offers the opportunity to utilize a diverse set of skills including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, HVAC, painting, and roofing, making it perfect for versatile professionals seeking a stable, full-time position with competitive pay.Key Responsibilities:
Perform preventative maintenance and repairs based on work orders, ensuring property standards are met. Conduct minor plumbing repairs such as unclogging toilets, maintaining fixtures, and sensor repairs. Execute routine painting, carpentry, drywall repair, and general maintenance to sustain facility aesthetics and functionality. Perform minor electrical work, including fixture replacements, switch and outlet repairs, and light bulb changes, within legal and safety guidelines. Complete service and asset inspections, documenting work via tablet or smartphone. Communicate effectively with clients and internal teams to ensure high customer satisfaction. Utilize technology for work order management, reporting, and inventory tracking. Maintain safety standards by attending training sessions and safety meetings, ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations. Provide estimates for larger projects when needed and support other maintenance-related duties as assigned.Required Skills/Education:
High school diploma or equivalent; technical certifications or experience in trades (Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC, Carpentry, etc.) preferred. 2-5 years of maintenance experience, ideally in commercial environments. Valid driver's license in good standing. Ability to read and interpret instructions, manuals, and safety policies. Proficiency with handheld devices, MS Office, and work order management systems. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team. Flexibility to work some nights and weekends as necessary.About Seneca Resources:
