Job Description
The Commercial Portfolio Manager provides strategic support to the East Region Commercial & Industrial Banking team. This role focuses on managing portfolio risk, supporting credit analysis, and assisting with special projects to ensure strong client relationships and sound credit practices.
Responsibilities Portfolio & Client Management:
Partner with commercial banking leadership and designated bankers to manage existing client relationships and evaluate potential new clients. Assist with onboarding customers, ensuring a smooth process through coordination with internal teams (Loan Coordinator, Treasury Management, Credit, etc.). Monitor booked credit facilities, including interim financial reviews, borrowing base reviews, covenant compliance testing, annual reviews, and problem loan administration.Credit Analysis & Risk Management:
Analyze financial statements and prepare credit proposals for existing and prospective clients. Review loan committee presentations, annual credit reviews, and problem loan summaries. Maintain reporting infrastructure and develop portfolio trend reports to monitor risk and industry guidance. Administer nonperforming loans and support risk mitigation strategies.Bell Bank Culture, Policy and Accountability Standards:

Perform other duties as assigned.Education, Experience, and Other Expectations:
Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field; or equivalent experience required. Three or more years of experience in commercial credit, commercial lending, or financial examination. Basic understanding of loan documentation and regulatory compliance requirements. Experience in risk assessment.Skills and Knowledge:
Proficient credit analysis and financial modeling skills. Good written and verbal communication abilities. Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively. Basic knowledge of commercial lending guidelines and industry best practices. Ability to provide credit structure guidance for simple loan transactions and review internally prepared loan documentation for accuracy. High level of attention to detail and accuracy. Commitment to customer service excellence and relationship building. Desire to expand lending knowledge through external training as well as on-the-job training with more tenured portfolio managers.Similar remote jobs
