Job Description

About The Company & Role The Parasol Group is a diverse portfolio of B2B manufacturers, 3PL providers, and D2C brands. Because we operate a centralized marketing engine, you will be the sole architect and voice for all 7 brands. There are no other writers or PR agencies to lean on. You are being hired to transform our complex industry knowledge into high-authority content that attracts media attention, wins the "AI Answer Engine" wars, and feeds our sales pipeline. If you need a team of freelancers to be "effective," do not apply. We need a "Player-Coach" who can strategize in the morning and write 3,000 words of technical copy in the afternoon.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Include the following and other duties as assigned. 1.
The Editorial Production House The Voice:
You own the brand voice for all subsidiaries. You must be able to write technical whitepapers for B2B logistics and emotional copy for a D2C e-commerce product description.
Solo Execution:
You will research, interview internal SMEs, and write all long-form articles, case studies, and some email sequences.
The Vault:
You manage the consolidated editorial calendar, ensuring we are shipping high-quality content weekly. 2.
Earned Media & Digital Authority The Hustle:
You don't wait for people to find us. You proactively pitch our data and stories to industry publications to secure high-value backlinks and mentions.
Visibility:
You will structure our content to be "citable" by AI models. This means mastering Q&A formatting and working with team members to ensure technical schema is applied.
Backlink Strategy:
You are responsible for the "Digital PR" that builds our domain authority, ensuring our brands are seen as the "source of truth" in their respective industries. 3.
Reputation & Media Relations PR:
You are the point of contact for all external media inquiries. You will prepare our GMs for interviews and coordinate all press releases.
Crisis & Sentiment:
You monitor brand mentions across the web. If a brand's reputation is at risk, you lead the messaging response.
Award & Event Circuit:
You will identify and submit our brands for industry awards and speaking engagements to cement our status as market leaders. 4.
Sales Enablement & Narrative The Sales Toolbelt:
You are responsible for the copy in the tools the sales team uses to close. This includes the creation of high-stakes pitch decks, one-pagers, and "Proof of Concept" case studies.
The Feedback Loop:
You will meet with sales leaders to identify common customer objections and create content that proactively answers those questions. 5.
Radical Accountability & Speed Proactive Culture:
You will break the "Ticket Taker" mentality. Instead of waiting for a GM to ask for a blog post, you will work on the overarching marketing strategy and develop content proactively.
AI Database:
You will help maintain and create custom internal AI knowledge bases.
Quality Control:
You are the final gatekeeper for everything that leaves this building. "Good enough" is not an option. What Success Looks Like After 1-
Year:
Organic Visibility:
A measurable increase in "AI Citations" and top-tier media mentions for each brand.
Output Volume:
Consistent delivery of the "Growth Playbook" content—minimum 8 high-authority assets per month.
Sales Impact:
A 15%+ increase in MQLs generated specifically from organic content and earned media channels.
Asset Library:
A fully functional, "centralized" library of sales enablement materials for all companies.
Qualifications & Skills Experience:
Minimum 3 years in a heavy writing/communications role. You must have a portfolio that proves you can write for both technical B2B and high-volume D2C. Have experience with Editorial and PR content.
Technical Literacy:
You must understand the mechanics of SEO, AEO, and how content interacts with customer journeys. The "One-Man Band"
DNA:
You have a proven track record of managing a high volume of output without a large supporting team.
Sales Obsession:
You write to drive revenue and help sales close deals.
