Includes coaching, administration, and working with young people across schools and local settings. Wage £12,480 to £19,827.60, depending on your age National Minimum Wage Check minimum wage rates (opens in new tab) Training course Community activator coach (level 2) Hours 30 hours a week - A negotiated and flexible approach required. Shifts TBC 30 hours a week Start date Tuesday 2 June 2026 Duration 1 year 3 months Positions available 1 Work Most of your apprenticeship is spent working. You'll learn on the job by getting hands-on experience. What you'll do at work Alongside gaining your Community Activator Coach L2 qualification, your role and responsibilities with DanceHub will include: Supporting/delivering Dance and Movement sessions via the Y.E.S Project model in both school and community settings to young people aged 7-17 Supporting and guiding young volunteers/leaders Assist with delivery of community Dance and Movement events Assist with the admin and organisation of community Dance and Movement events Work with community and school partners to improve, develop and promote sessions and new projects To gather and act upon youth feedback and community engagement to help shape projects To identify and overcome barriers to participation amongst people from disadvantaged backgrounds Undertaking administrative duties to support project delivery such as registers, reporting, communicating with other teachers and data collection Support/deliver workshops and sports sessions in partnership with Crawley Community Youth Services such as Youth work, social action and multisport sessions Creating content and social media plans Where you'll work 11 Mermaid Walk Sussex BN2 5WA Training Apprenticeships include time away from working for specialist training. Encourage individuals' participation, motivation and to change their behaviour towards sport or physical activity. Contribute to inclusive, safe and effective sessions. Plan, follow, adapt, and deliver session plans, based on participant needs and feedback. Use coaching styles for sport or physical activity sessions meeting the participants needs and motivations. Promote the benefits of a lifelong activity habit. Use techniques to build rapport with participants. Carry out the tasks required before, during and after a community activity. Support participants to overcome personal or societal barriers. Manage individuals' behaviours within a group setting. Work collaboratively with services and other community organisations to run events that make the best use resources. Record and store data and information, in line with legislation and organisational policies and procedures. Use suitable digital technology to deliver targeted messages to participant groups. Adapt communication methods to meet the needs of participants and groups. Identify and respond to safeguarding concerns within own scope of role and in line with organisational protocols. Support equity, diversity and inclusion in line with legislation and organisational policies. Support the mental health and wellbeing of self and participants. Comply with health and safety legislation, regulations, risk assessment procedures, guidelines and procedures. Participate in personal and professional development. Maintain professional boundaries within scope of own role. Monitor and review the effectiveness of activity sessions. Assist with the resolution of challenges and problems. Promote the benefits of a healthy lifestyle and physical activity for individuals and communities.
