Community Habilitation Specialist

Job Summary:

Behavior and Learning Supports is seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals for the Home and Community Habilitation program. The Home and Community Habilitation Specialist assists individuals' with Intellectual Disabilities in learning, improving, and maintaining the skills they need to be independent in their communities. HCH Specialists teach participants skills related to managing healthcare needs, cooking, completing household tasks, budgeting and shopping, communication and self-advocacy, and being active in their community through volunteering and by attending community events. Applicants should be detail oriented with good communication skills.

Requirements :

Minimum of high school diploma or GED required. Possession of a valid driver's license. Must povide copy of valid car insurance and registration. Ability to successfully obtain and provide background clearances Positions located in the counties of Allegheny and Westmoreland.
