$ 18.10 to $37.23 per hour based on level of experience and certifications. This role supports seamless patient care coordination while managing day-to-day clinic operations, responding to after-hours emergencies, and promoting community health and wellness. The CHA works under standing orders in accordance with the electronic Community Health Aide Manual (eCHAM) and under the direction of the KANA Medical Director. About CHAP The Community Health Aide Program (CHAP) is a nationally recognized training and certification program with a defined career ladder. Community Health Aides advance through certification levels as they complete training and gain experience, with KANA providing paid training and ongoing support. Key Responsibilities Provide primary, urgent, preventive, and emergent healthcare services in accordance with eCHAM, standing orders, and CHAP certification requirements Respond to after-hours on-call emergencies following KANA emergency response protocols Coordinate patient care, referrals, follow-up, and travel arrangements Conduct population health management activities including exams, screenings, labs, immunizations, and chronic disease monitoring Deliver patient education related to family planning, STIs, and other health conditions Participate in Village Response Team activities including training and emergency response Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in the KANA Electronic Health Record (EHR) Manage clinic operations including inventory, supplies, administrative tasks, and sanitation Travel for training, clinic coverage, or emergency response (up to 28 days per year unless volunteering for additional assignments) Maintain CHAP certification, EMS credentials, and required continuing education Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent Ability to successfully complete CHAP training and certification requirements Willingness to complete ongoing medical and EMS continuing education Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Ability to work independently in a rural setting and respond effectively in emergency situations Current, valid driver's license with acceptable driving record CHAP Certification (or ability to obtain and maintain) EMS and BLS/CPR certification as required through CHAP training Work Schedule KANA's standard work schedule is 37.5 working hours per week, consisting of 7.5 paid working hours per day plus a one-hour unpaid lunch break (8.5 hours on site per day).
