Companion Caregiver Needed for Independent Woman with Alzheimer's Mechanicsville, MD 20659 $18.50 an hour - Part-time $18.50 an hour - Part-time Looking for a Compassionate Companion Caregiver Helping Hands Cares, LLC is seeking a patient, engaging, and dependable companion caregiver to support an independent woman living with Alzheimer's disease in St. Mary's County. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys conversation, companionship, activities, and helping seniors remain socially and physically engaged in a positive and supportive environment. Schedule Part-Time Position 3-4 Days Per Week 3-4 Hours Per Day Flexible daytime hours Compensation Starting pay: $18.50 per hour Responsibilities Include Providing companionship and social engagement Encouraging participation in activities and conversation Assisting with light housekeeping and laundry Encouraging physical therapy exercises Accompanying and transporting client to local senior center activities Creating a calm, safe, and supportive environment Providing gentle reminders and emotional support Must be comfortable around dogs Qualifications Experience working with seniors or individuals with dementia/Alzheimer's preferred Compassionate, patient, and dependable personality Strong communication and companionship skills Reliable transportation required Comfortable with pets, especially dogs Ability to encourage engagement while respecting independence Why Join Our Team?
