LSSI is hiring a full-time Compensation Specialist . Responsible for assisting with the design, development, implementation and administration of LSSI's compensation programs, including policies and practices, which support the organization's strategic objectives and ensure they are able to attract, motivate and retain staff.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Administer and maintain compensation databases, files and forms, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Partner with senior management and HR Business Partners to provide expert guidance and consultation on compensation-related matters, including base pay and variable pay.
  • Assist with job architecture project by designing a structured framework that aligns with the strategy which provides a clear, fair, and consistent approach to managing roles.
  • Review for compliance and accuracy of employee profile with audit and data analysis to ensure fair and competitive compensation.
  • Develop, interpret and communicate compensation policies and process and provide interpretation and guidance to senior management on such.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of job descriptions and review FLSA position status to ensure proper classification.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to ensure the organization's compensation plans are competitive and compliant with relevant legislation.
  • Monitor and maintain Compensation Support inbox in a timely manner and conduct initial review of requests for compensation changes due to promotion, transfer, job change, additional responsibilities, etc. using relevant market data and internal evaluation to ensure competitive pay.
  • Demonstrate professional, positive behavior and carry out responsibilities with integrity, treating clients, families, other LSSI workforce members, and collaborative organizations and/or individual in a dignified, respectful, honest and fair manner.
Additional Functions/Responsibilities:
  • Ensure a workplace where employees are engaged, their dignity is valued, and they have a sense of belonging both within their specific role and within the organization overall.
  • Demonstrate sensitivity and responsiveness to cultural differences of clients, coworkers, and community.
  • Conduct regular audits of compensation programs to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices and take appropriate action to address, resolve and prevent recurrence of any identified issues.
  • Assist with the design and delivery of compensation-related communications to managers and/or employees, ensuring clarity, accuracy and consistency.
  • Assist with the development and delivery of training programs on compensation policies and procedure for managers and other HR team members.
  • Respond to all incoming correspondence and questions in a timely manner; including but not limited to inquiries received via email, telephone, text message, and fax.
  • Ensure reasonable measures are taken to protect confidential and/or sensitive information as well as ensuring the security of all LSSI systems is maintained.
  • Responsible for completing all required training assignments as well as complying with the related organizational, administrative, and programmatic policies.
  • Perform all other duties and tasks as assigned.
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in human resources management, business management/administration or a related field required.
  • Background check clearance required.
  • Certified Compensation professional (CCP) preferred.
  • SHRM certification (SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP) preferred.
  • HRCI certification (SPHR or PHR) preferred.
  • A minimum of two (2) years of hands-on experience administering or managing compensation programs required.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze compensation data, market trends and salary surveys to develop competitive compensation packages required.
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency using an HRIS system (preferably Dayforce) required.
  • Experience collaborating with HR team members, employees, and all levels of management preferred.
  • Demonstrated understanding of federal and state laws regarding compensation to ensure compliance required.
  • Experience addressing and resolving compensation-related issues and discrepancies required.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail, precision in managing compensation data and ensuring accuracy in salary calculations and reports preferred.
  • Experience managing compensation projects, including salary reviews, job evaluations and market analysis required.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate in a clear, comprehensible manner, both verbally and in writing.
  • Excellent organization, presentation and pc/computer skills, including experience using Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) along with other related software.
