Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic and meaningful contract opportunity as a school-based Speech-Language Pathologist, working full-time throughout the academic year. Located near Des Plaines, IL, these roles offer the chance to make a significant impact supporting student communication and academic success. Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist licensure (SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY considered) Experience in school or pediatric SLP settings preferred Teletherapy experience is a plus Strong clinical skills in assessment and treatment planning Effective communication with students, parents, and multidisciplinary teams Adaptability and commitment to serving diverse student needs Comfort using technology for therapy, documentation, and remote collaboration as needed
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and screenings for speech, language, and communication disorders Design and implement individualized therapy plans for students requiring speech-language services Provide direct intervention to students, both in-person and, when needed, via teletherapy platforms Document progress, maintain accurate records, and communicate results and goals to teachers and families Collaborate with educators, parents, and support staff to develop strategies for classroom integration Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary planning
