Job Description

Compliance Support Coordinator Position Summary:
The Compliance Specialist supports the Corporate Compliance Officer (CCO) in the implementation and maintenance of Lakemary's corporate compliance program. This role supports in ensuring organizational adherence to federal, state, and local regulations, with a focus on documentation, reporting, and regulatory monitoring. The Compliance Specialist plays a key role in administrative support, data tracking, and coordination of compliance-related activities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assist the CCO in managing Navex PolicyTech, including: Creating and launching policy campaigns. Tracking policy acknowledgments and completions. Attend and take minutes during Compliance Committee meetings, ensuring accurate documentation and timely distribution. Support incident reporting follow-ups in Navex, collaborating with the Risk Manager and CCO to ensure resolution and documentation. Help monitor and report on out-of-state Medicaid regulations relevant to the states served by Lakemary. Help maintain systems for tracking compliance issues, audits, and corrective actions. Analyzes compliance data and trends to identify risk areas Assist in preparing compliance dashboards and reports for internal review. Coordinate scheduling and logistics for compliance training sessions and committee meetings. Assist with licensing and accreditation activities for the PRTF, including: Gathering and organizing documentation required for regulatory submissions. Supporting the preparation and coordination of site visits, audits, and surveys. Tracking deadlines and renewal dates for licenses and accreditations. Collaborating with departments to ensure ongoing compliance with standards from KDADS, KSDE, CARF, and other relevant bodies. Assist with site visits, including: Supporting remote and in-person site visits related to compliance oversight. Helping gather documentation and prepare materials for out-of-state reviews. Coordinating follow-up actions and communications resulting from site visits. Assist with internal policy and procedure management, including: Supporting the drafting, formatting, and editing of policies and procedures. Ensuring timely review and updates of existing documents in collaboration with department leads. Helping maintain version control and documentation within Navex PolicyTech. Coordinating communication and distribution of updated policies to staff. Maintain confidentiality of sensitive compliance and investigative matters. Provide general administrative support to the Corporate Compliance Officer.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associate's degree or equivalent experience in behavioral healthcare administration, business, or a related field. Experience working in quality, compliance, or related regulatory roles preferred. Strong organizational and communication skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with compliance software (e.g., Navex, Netsmart). Ability to manage multiple tasks and maintain attention to detail. Understanding of behavioral health regulatory environments preferred.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with Navex PolicyTech or similar compliance platforms. Familiarity with HIPAA, Medicaid/Medicare, and Kansas-specific regulatory bodies (e.g., CMS, KDADS, CARF, KSDE). Experience working with out-of-state Medicaid programs, CMS, or other regulatory bodies is a plus. Prior experience in a compliance, risk management, or administrative support role.
Other Job Details:
Day hours: 8am-4:30pm
Monday- Friday Starting Salary:
$20- $22 hour based on experience
Reporting Structure:
Reports directly to the Corporate Compliance Officer and collaborates closely with the Risk Manager and other departmental staff. Lakemary provides competitive compensation and benefit package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans; paid time off; and a 401(k)-retirement plan
