Description Compounding Team Lead Day Shift 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM
ABOUT THE ROLE
Lead production associates to properly operate equipment from a safety, quality, and efficient perspective, while maintaining the cleanliness of all equipment.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Lead daily production activities with a strong focus on safety, food safety, quality, and compliance standards. Start up, monitor, shut down, and troubleshoot equipment to keep operations running efficiently and safely. Coordinate with operators, maintenance, and supervisors to support production schedules, changeovers, and line performance. Inspect, clean, sanitize, and reassemble production equipment using required cleaning and lockout/tagout procedures. Track production activities, complete required paperwork, and help maintain inventory and product flow accuracy. Support the team by training new associates, providing relief coverage, and assisting with additional operational needs as assigned.
REQUIRED EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or GED. Knowledge of departmental operational positions and procedures.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
Lead liquid products operations.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one small group situations to customers, clients, and other team members of the organization. Ability to use effective problem solving skills. Ability to review and correct production paperwork.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to use mathematical functions including addition, subtraction, multiplication and division in accordance with production paperwork. Ability to perform these operations using units of weight measurement, volume, and distance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) and work safely in a production environment. Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, typically 7 or more hours per day. Ability to frequently reach, bend, twist, grip, and use hand-eye coordination throughout the shift. Ability to kneel, squat, crawl, and climb stairs as needed during daily operations. Ability to lift and move materials regularly, including up to 50 lbs frequently and up to 100 lbs with assistance or equipment as needed. Ability to meet vision requirements, including close, distance, and color vision.
PHYSICAL AND VISUAL ACTIVITIES
Maintain flow of product through machine. Remove unusable product from machine, conveyors, boxes or floor. Safely hose down machines or conveyors. Change film rolls. Lift cases of product. Ability to visually differentiate items of color, up close and in the distance.
