Job Details:
JOB SUMMARY
You will be responsible for operating, monitoring, and troubleshooting a wide range of automation equipment to support efficient plant operations. This role includes hands-on work with, but is not limited to, Butina / yards, Auto saws, Loin pullers, St. Louis saws, and the ABT room. Your primary focus will be ensuring all automation machines are operating safely, efficiently, and at peak performance. You will perform preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and general upkeep as required to keep all machines running in tip-top shape and to minimize downtime. You will be expected to fully perform the role and responsibilities of the position and area in which you are placed for the duration of your assignment. Shifts may include both 8-hour and 12-hour schedules. During 12-hour shifts, you may be asked to move to different areas or spots within the Automation team to support operational needs and help keep the plant running at its best. At times when machines run late or production demands increase, you will be expected to assist support teams in those roles. All role assignments, rotations, and spot changes will be determined by the manager. This position requires flexibility, teamwork, and a strong commitment to maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and performance across all automation systems.Work Schedule:
Rotating schedule of Sunday, Monday, Thursday, Friday - the next week schedule is Tuesday, Wednesday, Saturday. A Shift - 12 hour shiftsREQUIREMENTS
Education:
High School diploma, GED, or equivalency preferred. College or trade school credits in computers, electricity etc. are considered a plus for this position.Experience:
6+ months of service with the company. Previous experience in preventative maintenance and/or experience in other meat-processing facilities will be considered as well.Computer Skills:
Basic computer skills.Communication Skills:
Excellent interpersonal communication skills both verbal and written. Must be able and willing to communicate effectively with plant management and all other Team Members. Ability to read manuals and communicate to other team members.Environmental Conditions:
Team members must be able and willing to wear hard hat, steel toe boots, and hearing protection. The temperature of the work area is seasonal and depends on outside temperatures.Other:
Must be able to work extended hours including assigned shifts and weekends if needed and maintain confidentiality of company information. Must be able to work around live hogs and complete AWB Training. This position is slated for candidates who are currently working at this facility. Priority consideration will be provided to these applicants first.
