Computer Technician II Department Information Technology --> Technical Services Job Location 1840 Hilliard-Rome Road, Hilliard, Ohio Additional Locations Columbus Position Type Full-Time/Regular Work Type Standard NMLS Required No Pay Classification Non-Exempt (Hourly) Grade and Compensation Band PG 14: $57,595.20 - $86,382.40 (Annually) Target Compensation $60,000 - $70,000 The Computer Technician II has the responsibility of installing, testing, maintaining, and supporting all personal computer hardware, software, peripherals, and systems, including patch management, asset inventory, security, and monitoring, and backup support of phone systems. In addition, the Computer Technician II is a key support individual for members of Senior Management and Board of Directors . 1) Providing PC and Laptop hardware and software technical support, to all WPCU users at all sites, 2 nd -tier support for LAN/WAN connectivity and other communications issues and executing activities on approved projects. (50%) 2) Performing system patch management and administration for asset monitoring, security, and inventory related tools and processes. (25%) 3) Serving as project leader or coordinator for IT related projects as assigned. (10%) 4) Facilitating all network, PC, and peripherals product procurement/repair and managing the relationships with the vendors of choice. (10%) 5) Assisting Telecom & Audio-Visual Technician II with WPCU telephony systems needed, including day-to-day maintenance and support. Ensures proper policies, procedures, risk mitigation activities, and operating controls are followed. Reports gaps in policies, procedures, and operating controls to leadership to ensure member impact and risk is mitigated. (5%) Required Skills A. This position must be thoroughly knowledgeable at configuring/installing personal computer systems and peripherals and managing system vulnerability remediation. Being well-versed in the area of data backup and archival is also a must. In order to do so the following are required: 1) A Technical or Associates Degree and two years' experience or proven equivalent. 2) Must possess A+ and Network + certifications. Security + certification and storage management experience is a plus. 3) Patch management experience. 4) Internet experience that includes the troubleshooting of a high-speed Internet connection. 5) MS Exchange / MS Outlook support experience 6) Experience in the 2nd or 3rd tier support of mid-sized networks or greater 7) Hardware and OS experience: Microsoft, IBM compatible PC's, Cisco switches and routers, Nortel data switches, network printers, and IBM Mid-Range computers 8) Strong time management skills in technical environments and project management. 9) Valid driver's license and ability to operate a motor vehicle. 10) Ability to pass background check for Wright-Patterson Air Force Base (WPAFB) or Department of Defense (DoD) to acquire "Contractor" badge is required
